NO WORRY

via Rocky Woodie: God chose us before the creation of the world. No need for nervousness. No need for anxious waiting. We’ve been chosen. Chosen by God. The world may give us thumbs up or thumbs down. People may select us or they may pass us by. It doesn’t really matter. We’ve been chosen by God. (Ephesians 1:3-4).

RADICAL

via Rocky Woodie:”God delights in using ordinary Christians who come to the end of themselves and choose to trust in His extraordinary provision. He stands ready to allocate His power to all who are radically dependent on Him and radically devoted to making much of Him. David Platt from his book titled: Taking Back Your Faith from the American Dream: RADICAL

Conversation in the Car this Morning…

via Elizabeth:

Noah: Is that the hospital?

Me: Yes, Buddy, that is the hospital.

Noah: Where Daddy died?

Me: Yes.

Noah: Because he couldn’t wake up?

Me: (silent, choking back tears)

Noah: He was sleeping on the couch, and then you pulled him onto the floor?

Me: Yes, I did.

Noah: Why did you pull Daddy off the couch Mommy?

Me: I wanted to try to make him better.

Noah: What did you do to Daddy on the floor? What did you do, Mommy?

Me: It is called CPR. Sometimes it helps people when they can’t wake up.

Noah: And then the people came?

Me: Yes, I called people who wanted to help make Daddy better and they came to our house.

Noah: But Daddy didn’t get better. Daddy died and went to Jesus.

Me: Yes, he went to be with Jesus now, Buddy.

Noah: Why did he go? Was Daddy mad at us?

Me: Oh, Buddy, no! No, Daddy loved us. Daddy wasn’t mad. He wasn’t mad at you, Noah.

Noah: But Jesus wanted Daddy to live at His house now?

Me: Yes, that’s right honey.

Noah: And he died?

Me: Yes.

Noah: And so the Fire Truck took Daddy to Jesus?

Me: (Laughing and weeping at the same time) No, Buddy, that wasn’t a fire truck. It is called an ambulance. It just had lights like the fire truck had. An ambulance takes people to the hospital, not to Jesus.

Noah: Oh, okay. Daddy can’t coming home today?

Me: (Feeling sick to my stomach) No, Daddy isn’t coming home. Daddy lives with Jesus in heaven, now.

Noah: Oh.

Now Faith is…

Evangelical Lutheran Church in America ‎”Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Indeed, by faith our ancestors received approval. By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was made from things that are not visible.” Hebrews 11:1-3

For me, it is Galatians 2:20, my confirmation verse and a great reminder that I live in Christ and HE carries my burdens and stress….and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I …live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Genuine Kindness

via Rocky Woodie: Sometimes God uses children to break down our walls of sophistication to show us what genuine kindness is all about. We must never underestimate the impact of a hug, smile, or encouraging word may have on a person’s life.

…in God’s hands

via Dennis Betts: “I have held many things in my hands, and I have lost them all; but whatever I have placed in God’s hands, that I still possess.”

Martin Luther

Never stop questioning!

via Dennis Betts: ‎”The important thing is not to stop questioning! Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity.” Albert Einstein

We were born to make manifest the glory of God!

via Ann Larson: ““We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciousl give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
– Nelson Mandela
